Mitten Raised Bakery: How it all started... 

Mitten Raised is a locally-owned bakery based in East Lansing, Michigan.  As the owner of Mitten Raised, Katie Anne Lambert demonstrates her love for baking and bringing smiles to customers’ faces that can only be described as awe-inspiring.   Katie Anne realized at a very young age that sweets make people happy, and that’s what she wanted to do with her life.

After graduating with her Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Grand Valley State University, Katie Anne hit the road for Vail, Colorado where she spent several years learning from the top pastry chefs in the Valley with a focus on high-end desserts and plate presentation.

Katie Anne’s next stop was in Maui working at Wolfgang Puck’s Spago restaurant inside the Four Seasons resort in Wailea where she enhanced her skills working with world-class, award-winning chefs.

Late in 2014, Katie Anne decided it was time to start her own business so she loaded up her two rescue puppies (Zoey and Harley) as well as her culinary skills and returned to the Mitten State.
